Terms of Service.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to the Ambi Collective website and mobile application (together, the "Service") provided by Ambi Collective Limited ("Ambi", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About Ambi

Ambi is an online platform intended to help hair-industry professionals and salons discover and connect with one another. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Ambi is not an employer, recruitment agency, agent, or party to arrangements made between users. We do not guarantee employment, engagements, placements or the suitability of any user.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to register for or use an Ambi account. By registering, you confirm that you are 16 or older. We may suspend or close accounts that do not meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the legal capacity and any consent required by applicable law to enter into professional arrangements outside Ambi.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure and tell us about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account except where caused by our failure to take reasonable care.

3. Profiles and user content

You retain ownership of photographs, portfolios, biographies and other content you upload. You grant Ambi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, resize and display that content as needed to operate, maintain and promote the Service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except to the extent copies are lawfully retained or were already shared outside our control.

You confirm that you have permission to use uploaded images and personal information, including permission from identifiable people where required. Profiles and portfolios are public and may be viewed by non-members, copied or indexed by others. Do not post content you wish to keep private.

4. Acceptable use

You must not impersonate others; misrepresent qualifications or opportunities; post unlawful, discriminatory, misleading or infringing material; harass other users; send spam; scrape the Service; introduce malware; attempt unauthorised access; or use the Service in a way that disrupts its operation. You must comply with applicable employment, equality, privacy and consumer laws.

5. Connections and third parties

Ambi provides a way for stylists and salons to connect and share job opportunities. Hiring decisions, interviews, employment or freelance agreements, working arrangements and payments are handled directly between users. Ambi is not a party to those arrangements and does not guarantee jobs, placements, earnings, user identities or qualifications.

Users must perform appropriate checks and comply with employment, equality, tax, immigration and other applicable laws. Report suspicious listings, accounts or conduct through the app's reporting feature or by emailing info@ambicollective.com.

6. Fees and subscriptions

No specific fee or subscription arrangement is established in these Terms. If Ambi introduces paid features, the applicable price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refund conditions will be disclosed before users purchase them. Any applicable pricing, billing, cancellation and refund terms must be presented before a purchase. Purchases made through an app store may also be subject to that store's terms. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory statutory rights.

7. Intellectual property

The Ambi name, branding, website, app, design and platform materials (excluding user-owned content) are owned by Ambi Collective Limited or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy or exploit platform materials without permission except as permitted by law.

8. Moderation, suspension and account closure

Ambi provides features for users to block and report other users. We may review reports, remove content, restrict messaging or access, and suspend or close accounts where proportionate to unlawful content, safety risks or breaches of these Terms. We may provide explanations or review routes where required by law. Blocking another user does not guarantee that publicly available information becomes invisible to that person outside the app.

You may delete your account within the app. The intended process immediately removes associated account information, including messages and uploaded photographs, from the active service. Copies already received, saved or indexed by others cannot necessarily be withdrawn, and limited records may remain where law or technical retention requirements apply. See our Privacy Policy for further details.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may improve, modify or discontinue features, subject to applicable law. If material changes adversely affect users, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for arrangements made independently between users or losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Any other limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law, including consumer rights.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Please read it alongside these Terms.

12. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party services, including Apple, Google and Instagram. Their separate terms and policies may apply. Ambi is not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections applicable where they live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
